Confined space & rope access

Ashdale Engineering’s inspection engineers are trained in confined space (in accordance with the Confined Space Regulations 1997) and working at height. Our specialist access inspection teams are Industrial Rope Access Trade Association (IRATA) qualified.

We provide bespoke access solutions for inspections that would otherwise absorb a disproportionate amount of time and money, reducing cost and inconvenience and resulting in minimal disruption. For example, we can replace the requirement for scaffolding with rope access procedure.

Case Study
Swimming Pool/ Training Facility

A swimming pool training facility was equipped with overhead climbing anchorages, which required a statutory examination under LOLER. There was no access for a mobile access platform (Cherry Picker) and it was not practical to scaffold as this would have resulted in excessive disruption.

Using rope access techniques, Ashdale Engineering specialists were able to complete a thorough examination, with minimal disturbance to the training facility.

In this case, the facility was inconvenienced for just an hour using our rope access technique, as opposed to a possible two days using scaffolding.
