Our engineering inspections (also known as ‘insurance inspection’ or ‘statutory inspection’) are undertaken on a wide variety of equipment in accordance with the Lifting Operations & Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER) and incorporating procedures recommended by the Safety Assessment Federation guidelines 2006 (SAFED).

Ashdale Engineering have many years of knowledge and expertise in this field and cover inspections of disabled equipment for a range of authorities including councils, hospitals, social housing and care homes.

Points to consider

Lifts and escalators carrying passengers require statutory inspection by a competent person, with a normal maximum interval of six months between inspections.

Lifts carrying goods only must be examined at least every twelve months.
